The Journalism and Digital Media department celebrates five students who were December 2024 graduates. Each of them graduated in only 3 and a half years. All of them were contributors to AUTV, The Collegian and WRDL. They are: Digital Media Production major Mikehlah Carr, Digital Media Journalism/Digital Media Production double major Cade Cracas, Digital Media Journalism/Digital Media Production double major Brynn Meisse, Digital Media Production major Mason Niese and Digital Media Production major Andy Talpas. JDM Chair and AUTV Faculty Advisor Dr. Dave McCoy and Professional Instructor and WRDL General Manager Derek Wood sit down for a discussion about the innovative media programs offered by Ashland University.

AUTV gains IBS Best College/University Television Station Finalist Award

For the 4th consecutive year, AUTV received an Intercollegiate Broadcasting System Finalist Award in the Best College/University Television Station category. Station Manager Ethan Jenkins was recognized for his leadership in helming both the station and the news operation. AUTV Faculty Advisor Dr. Dave McCoy remarked that "Ethan's ability to engage his peers and provide insightful actions and a calm demeanor reflects the overall philosophy of the station." Jenkins, along with his fellow AUTV Board members Cade Cracas, Lauren Gulden, Miles Irvin, Joe Monteith, Josh Bachinsky and Stephen Struckmann, will be honored at the annual JDM Awards ceremony in May 2025.
