AUTV 20 again named Finalist for 2022-2023 Intercollegiate Broadcasting system award

AUTV 20, the Journalism and Digital Media department's student-led co-curricular television station, received news that it was named a Finalist for the second year in a row in the Best College/University Television Station category from the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System. IBS is the oldest and most renowned collegiate awards competiton in the country. As a Finalist, AUTV 20 is recognized as one of the six best student television stations in the competition. Dr. Dave McCoy, JDM Chair and AUTV 20 Faculty Advisor, notes that "hard word, a shared vision and a creative spirit from both the production staff and student media leaders enabled this fantastic recognition." Specific thanks goes out to the station's leadership team over the past two years: Carrie Smith (Station Manager), Sean Repuyan (Station Manager), Lydia Bice (Executive News Producer), Ethan Jenkins (Executive News Producer), Lewis Markham (Executive Sports Producer), Cade Cracas (Executive Sports Producer), Gracie Wilson (Producer), Katelyn Meeks (Producer), Gage Eldridge (Production Manager), and Logan Gray (Program Director). The First Place Award in this category will be named at the national IBS convention in March 2023.

JDM Fall 2022 Graduates honored at AU Commencement

On Saturday December 17th, multiple students associated with the Journalism and Digital Media department graduated from Ashland University. They are: Johnathan Albright, Digital Media Production major; Katie Foster, Digital Media Journalism minor; Nathan Langdon, Digital Media Production major; Jordyn Perry-Hanley, Commercial Art and Design with a concentration in Digital Media Production major; Mackenzie Pflum, Digital Media Journalism major; and Wesley Seyfang, Digital Media Production major. Congratulations to all of them!
