JDM alum Kellie Pleshinger lands at Vertigo Entertainment
Digital Media Production graduate Kellie Pleshinger is well on the way to an excellent careeer in film production. During her time at Ashland University, Kellie created a television series script and movie pilot as a component of her Honors' thesis. She also served as the Program Director for AUTV. Kellie recently graduated with an MFA in Film Production from Chapman University in Los Angeles. Her first job in the industry is with Vertigo Entertainment. Kellie serves as the assistant to the head of production with this rising movie company. Congratulations to Kellie!

JDM welcomes new Fall 2024 students
With Fall 2024 classes slated to start in under one month, the Journalism and Digital Media program prepares to add many promising majors. Sixteen students will meet on Sunday August 25th with JDM faculty and student leaders in a greeting and introductory session. Many of these students received the Dean's Scholarship in Journalism and Digital Media. Congratulations to Riley Purvis, Britteny Rudder, James Barrows, Kiersten Boecker, Robert (RJ) Cochran, Drake Crumley, Bryce Gatten, Macy Gannon, Riley Hendershott, Akexandria Hill, Hunter Holloway, Stephanie Holubetz, John Keim, Louis Timura, Aubrey Wood and Jack Yeaste.

2024 JDM Digital Media Creation Camp
On Monday July 8th, nine participants gained valuable knowledge about media when they attended the first JDM Digital Media Creation Camp. The students ranged from 6th graders to incoming Ashland University freshmen. Led by instructors Derek Wood and John Skrada, camp attendees created both audio and video projects. Plans are underway, with the support from co-sponsor AU Admissions, to hold a second camp in Fall 2024.
