JDM produces new episode of CAS Spotlight on AUTV-20

JDM recently completed production on another episode of its popular talk show, CAS Spotlight. CAS Spotlight shines well deserved recognition on the many great programs, faculty and staff within Ashland University's College of Arts and Sciences.

In this episode, JDM major and host Rebecca Ribley is joined by Coordinator of Performing Arts Publicity and Events Tricia Applegate with an update on this spring's happenings in AU's Theatre and Music departments.

Also featured in this episode, Professor Stephanie Sikora talks about The Opera Scene project and Dr. Scott Garlock stops by to talk all things jazz at Ashland University.

Ashland City Schools Superintendent, Dr. Doug Marrah joined Dr. Gretchen Dworznik for a discussion on the state of ACS, their new construction projects and the state funding for public education in this episode of Ashland Alive. Ashland Alive is a production of Journalism & Digital Media and airs on AUTV-20.

JDM produces new episode of CAS Spotlight on AUTV-20

JDM kicked off its spring semester production schedule with a new episode of the CAS Spotlight. Hosted by JDM major Rebecca Ribley, CAS Spotlight explores the many great programs, faculty and staff within Ashland University's College of Arts and Sciences.

In this episode we shine the spotlight on the Toxicology major inside Ashland University's Biology department. AU's Toxicology major is one of only a few undergraduate programs in the nation. Joining Rebecca on set were the Chair of the Biology/Toxicology department, Dr. Mason Posner and Dr. Andrew Trimble.

JDM professor receives tenure and promotion

Dr. Gretchen Dworznik
Congratulations to Dr. Gretchen Dworznik, who on Monday learned that the Ashland University Board of Trustees had approved her application for tenure and promotion.

Dworznik will now have the rank of associate professor. She is also currently serving as the chair of the Department of Journalism and Digital Media.

Dworznik joined the AU faculty in 2006. Before entering higher education, she spent eight years as a television reporter and anchor, working at TV-68 in Mansfield, NBC24 in Toledo and WYTV in Youngstown.
